ABOUT BRAVO CPG
Bravo CPG provides fractional operations support to early stage, rapidly growing CPG companies. We serve as an extension of our clients' teams, helping them keep daily operations running while working to build strong, scalable processes in three key areas: operations, logistics and supply chain. We are focused on supporting growth stage CPG brands with $3m-$20m in revenue, but also occasionally support pre-launch / pre-revenue brands. We have a heavy concentration in food, beverage and beauty clients but work with all types of products.
Open Roles
As a Director of Operations, you will lead operations for 3-5 CPG brands. You will manage teams of 1-2 junior team members per client, and should expect to focus the majority of your efforts on the strategic elements of client SOWs: strategic planning, demand planning, production planning, network optimization, and margin improvement.
You will be the account manager for your assigned clients and will partner with them to develop critical operations infrastructure and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and efficiently.
We are looking for operational leaders who are passionate about CPG. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to think strategically and the drive to continuous improvement.
This is a fully remote, contract (1099) position. Travel is occasionally required, but will be infrequent.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead 3-5 client accounts, simultaneously; you will own the client relationships and will be responsible for onboarding, client retention and off-boarding (when necessary)
Act as head of operations for your assigned clients; own strategic planning, demand planning, production planning and inventory management. Own key client relationships with co-manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs and other strategically important partners
Maintain clear and effective communication between client operations, sales and finance teams
Manage client budget and ensure efficient use of client team labor hours
Leverage junior team members assigned to your clients to ensure the timely and efficient execution of all daily operational tasks in the SOW
Contribute to the professional development of junior team members through training, informal mentoring and performance reviews for those assigned to your clients
Identify and implement systems, processes and tools that improve operational efficiency
Execute tactical responsibilities, when necessary. Examples: compile inventory reports, place POs, schedule freight shipments, review/audit invoices for accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of experience in operations, logistics and/or supply chain
5+ years working with food, beverage or beauty brands
Experience as operations lead (senior person on operations team) at a company with $1m+ in revenue
3+ years of demand planning & production management experience
3+ years of managerial experience
Strong excel and data analytical skills
As an Operations Associate at Bravo CPG you will be responsible for running the day to day operations for 3-5 CPG brands. When strategic support is also required, you will partner with a Director of Operations on your account. List of tasks varies by client, but can include: production coordination, procurement, freight coordination, inventory management, wholesale order management and 3PL management.
We are looking for operators with strong attention to detail, an ownership mindset, the ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks/interests and the experience level required to think critically (instead of just acting or following instructions).
This is a fully remote, contract (1099) position. Travel is occasionally required but will be infrequent.
Key Responsibilities (varies by clients):
SOP generation - document and improve operations, logistics and supply chain processes
Wholesale order fulfillment - ,manage wholesale order fulfillment (coordinate with fulfillment partners e.g. 3PL, EDI, freight carriers, etc. to ensure all order-specific instructions are met)
E-commerce order fulfillment - manage multi-channel fulfillment operations including Shopify and Amazon (FBA, FBM, etc.)
Production management - manage copacker operations to meet customer orders on time, in full while meeting quality standards
Operations management & analysis - build tools that visualize performance against operational KPIs (e.g. COGS, % on time delivery, etc)
Inventory management - track inventory of finished goods and components across multiple locations; Compile weekly inventory reports & error reports (% shipped & delivered within SLA)
Demand planning - use existing demand planning tools to inform purchasing and planning decisions (build = director level work)
Purchasing - place purchase orders and follow through to completionFinancial analysis - Review/audit invoices from vendors / partners for accuracyFreight coordination - schedule freight shipments, manage import/export activities
Cost reduction - Look for opportunities to improve costs and introduce efficiencies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in operations, logistics or supply chain management
Experience working directly for a CPG company/brand
Strong data analytical skills; the ability to turn data points into useful information & recommendations
Proficient in excel
